Winter Pond

Winter Pond was inspired by a snowy day at the University of Washington’s Urban Horticulture Center. This area is also commonly referred to as the Montlake Fill because it was a trash dump in the 1970s. Since then, the land has been restored, allowing natural wetlands to support native plants, birds, ducks, and other wildlife.
