Tatoosh Vista

This painting was inspired by a fall hike on the Skyline Trail in the Paradise area of Mt. Rainier National Park. On this chilly October day, the meadow had patches of snow remaining from the night before. The vibrant fall colors, especially the reds in the bushes and golds in the dried grasses, were lit up by the sun. This created a nice palette against the Tatoosh Mountain Range.
